Virtual Instrument Technique
In recent
years, my team is focued on the Embeded Virtual Instrument technique. We
want to develop a Virtual Instrument platform that is small and can be
embeded into other applications. Some progress have obtained. A FPGA like
Virtual Instrument Array is designed out, which contains tens of different
Virtual Instrument controls, and can be configured as a specific Virtual
Instrument application. The Embeded Virtual Instrument platform is composed
of only one dll, and its size is only 900KB. That is why we call this technique
"Embeded Virtual Instrument".

In hardware, there is a kind of
IC called FPGA or CPLD. It consists of a matrix of programmable logic cell
and can be configured as a ASICs. The concept is used in the Virtual Instrument.
The result is good.
